Simpro reporting, Power BI and custom dashboards.
We build Simpro reporting for trade and field service businesses that have outgrown weekly Excel exports: job margins, technician utilisation, quote conversion, unbilled work and debtor ageing, joined with your accounting and CRM data and delivered in Power BI or a web dashboard your team actually opens.
- Budget vs actual by job and cost centre
- Billable hours against capacity
- Quotes won, lost and waiting
- Invoices overdue by age band

Reports that answer the questions your managers actually ask.
Most Simpro reporting problems are not a lack of reports. They are figures that live in three places (Simpro, the accounting package and the CRM), a weekly export someone rebuilds by hand, and two reports that disagree on the same margin. Owners want to know which jobs are running over budget, how much finished work has not been invoiced, which technicians are billable and which quotes are going cold.
Moweb builds a reporting database that your business owns, fed from the Simpro API and your other systems, with the metrics defined once and agreed with your finance and operations leads. On top of it we deliver Power BI reports or a web dashboard, alerts for the numbers that need action, and documentation your team can maintain. Our Simpro experience comes from working as the development team behind a UK Simpro partner firm, building integrations and customisations to each end client's requirements.
When Simpro's built-in reports are enough.
Custom reporting is not always the right spend. Simpro Premium already includes built-in Reports, a dashboard and BI Reporting at no extra charge, and Simpro's own Professional Services team builds custom reports for a fee. We will tell you in the first call if you do not need us.
Built-in BI Reporting covers it
If your questions are about Simpro data alone, BI Reporting lets you build custom questions and dashboards, start from preset Operations, Quality Assurance and Sales dashboards. Try this first.
An off-the-shelf connector covers it
The Simpro Marketplace lists several Power BI and data warehouse connectors on monthly plans. If their ready-made reports match how you measure the business, a subscription will cost less than a build.
When a custom build pays off
You need Simpro joined with accounting, CRM, payroll or supplier data; your margin or utilisation rules do not match the standard definitions; you want the data in a database you own; or several companies or builds need one consolidated view.
How we build your Simpro reporting.
Agree the definitions first, then build the data layer, then the reports. That order is what stops the new dashboard disagreeing with the accounts.
Define the metrics
We sit with finance and operations to write down each KPI: what counts as a billable hour, when a job is WIP, which cost centres roll into margin. The list becomes the spec.
Build the data layer
We sync the Simpro records you need, plus accounting and CRM data, into a reporting database. Access is read-only and the sync stays inside Simpro's API limits.
Reconcile and report
We build the Power BI model or web dashboard, then check the numbers against Simpro and your accounts for a past period until they match, line by line.
Hand over and monitor
Sync monitoring, failure alerts and a metric glossary go live with the reports. We train the people who will own them and support changes as your business moves.
Simpro reports we build.
The reports trade and field service owners ask for most, built from your Simpro jobs, quotes, timesheets, invoices and stock records.
Job margins and cost overruns
Budget against actual for every job, broken down by cost centre, labour and materials. Jobs drifting over budget are flagged while there is still time to act, not after the final invoice.
Technician utilisation
Billable hours against available capacity for each technician and team, built from Simpro timesheets and schedules. Your rules decide what counts as billable, travel or rework.
Quote pipeline and conversion
Quotes won, lost and waiting by salesperson, customer type and value band, with the age of each open quote. See which work you win and where quotes stall.
WIP and unbilled work
Completed or part-completed work that has not been invoiced, by job, customer and age. This is often where cash sits unnoticed, so it is usually the first report we build.
Debtor ageing and cash flow
Outstanding invoices by age band and customer, joined with payments and your accounting package, so the operations view and the finance view show the same number.
Stock and van stock
Stock levels, usage and value from Simpro inventory, including stock held on vans where your build tracks it, so you can spot slow movers and items that keep running out on site.
Cross-system and multi-company views
One model that combines Simpro with accounting, CRM, payroll or supplier data, and consolidates several companies or builds. The database sits in your own cloud account, and you own the data and the code.
How we keep the numbers fresh and correct.
Data freshness is a design decision, not a default. We set it per report, based on how the number gets used.
Webhooks for changes, sync for the rest
Simpro webhook subscriptions tell us when records such as jobs, invoices or payments change. The message carries IDs rather than the full record, so we fetch the detail through the API and update only what changed. A scheduled sync fills gaps and catches anything missed.
Inside Simpro's rate limit
Simpro allows 10 API calls per second per build, shared by every integration on that build. Our sync throttles itself, backs off and retries when Simpro returns HTTP 429, and runs heavy backfills out of hours so your other integrations keep working.
Freshness shown on the report
Every dashboard shows when its data last refreshed. Operational views like WIP and overruns refresh often during the working day; month-end finance reports refresh on the schedule your accountant signs off.
Read-only and certified
The reporting sync only reads from Simpro. It runs under an API application your Simpro admin creates and can revoke, and our delivery runs under ISO 27001:2022 controls.

Questions about Simpro Reporting and Dashboards.
What teams ask before they start.
Yes. Simpro Premium includes built-in Reports, a dashboard and BI Reporting at no extra charge, where you can build custom questions and dashboards or start from preset ones. If your questions only need Simpro data and the standard definitions fit, use those first. A custom build earns its place when you need Simpro joined with accounting, CRM or other systems, your own KPI rules, or data held in a database you own.
Proof
Work we have shipped.
Get Simpro reporting your managers will trust.
Send us the three reports you rebuild by hand every week. We will tell you whether Simpro's own BI Reporting can do it, and if not, what a custom build would take.
